Pre-production
Journee Pre-Production Terms and Conditions
1. Agreement and pre-production status
These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) govern your use of Journee's pre-production website and marketplace (the Site). By selecting the required account-onboarding checkbox, you agree to these Terms. The linked Pre-Production Privacy Policy explains how Journee handles personal information.
Journee is not yet a live production service. The Site is provided for testing and evaluation. Features, listings, accounts, and data may change, be unavailable, or be reset or deleted. Do not rely on the Site for emergencies, business continuity, permanent records, guaranteed leads, or completion of any service arrangement.
You must be at least 18, capable of entering a binding agreement, and authorized to act for any business you represent.
2. Journee is a marketplace, not the service provider
Journee provides tools through which a person seeking services (a Customer) may post a request and an independent service provider (a Vendor) may maintain a profile, submit a bid, and communicate with the Customer. A user may act in either or both roles.
Vendor services are offered and performed by third parties, not Journee. Any service agreement is directly between the Customer and Vendor. Journee does not currently process payment or escrow, select a Vendor, guarantee work, supervise a work site, or verify a Vendor's identity, licence, insurance, bonding, background, qualifications, pricing, availability, or suitability.
Customers and Vendors are responsible for their own due diligence, contracts, permits, insurance, taxes, payment arrangements, safety measures, and compliance with law. Site profiles, bids, reviews, and messages are user-supplied and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, financial, safety, or emergency advice. Call 911 or the appropriate authority for an emergency.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in method, and notify Journee through an available support channel if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
You must not use the Site to break the law; deceive or impersonate others; harass, threaten, discriminate, or exploit; post unsafe, infringing, malicious, or unlawful material; scrape or interfere with the Site; bypass access or security controls; distribute malware; or use information obtained through the Site for unrelated spam, surveillance, or marketing.
Journee may remove content, limit features, suspend an account, or stop a test when reasonably needed to protect users, the Site, or the public, investigate a violation, comply with law, or operate the pre-production environment.
4. User content and privacy
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Journee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, format, display, and transmit that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, test, and improve the Site and provide the features you request. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
Public profiles, published jobs, reviews, images, service information, and coarse location may be seen and copied by others and indexed by search engines or other crawlers. Do not publish confidential information. Private bids, messages, job photos, account details, and precise addresses must not be reused or disclosed except as needed for the relevant marketplace interaction or as permitted by law.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the Site's disclosure framework but is not a waiver of privacy rights. Marketing consent, if Journee later requests it, will be separate and optional.
5. No warranties for the Site or third-party services
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the pre-production Site is provided as is and as available, without promises that it will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or preserved.
Journee makes no warranty or guarantee about a Vendor, Customer, lead, bid, review, message, price, timeline, or Vendor service. Journee is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, completion, payment, or outcome of services arranged between users, or for acts or omissions of independent Vendors, Customers, identity providers, map providers, AI providers, or other third parties.
6. Limits and legal rights
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Journee will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from the Site or a third-party service arrangement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a right, remedy, warranty, condition, or liability that applicable law does not permit the parties to exclude or limit. The limitations above apply only to the extent lawful and after considering Journee's actual role in the circumstances.
7. Ontario law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any mandatory consumer right or venue rule. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
Journee may update these Terms as pre-production testing evolves. The version and effective date above identify the Terms presented during account onboarding. Before launch, Journee expects to replace these concise Terms with counsel-reviewed launch terms. A new or materially changed version may require you to agree again before using account or marketplace features.
