Pre-production
Journee Pre-Production Privacy Policy
1. This is a pre-production site
Journee is currently a test and evaluation website, not a live production service. Features, providers, security controls, and data practices may change, and test accounts or content may be corrected, reset, or deleted. Do not submit highly sensitive, confidential, emergency, payment-card, banking, government-ID, or production credential information.
This Policy explains how Journee handles personal information on the pre-production website (the Site). It is intentionally shorter than the policy planned for launch and will be replaced by a counsel-reviewed launch policy before Journee becomes a live service.
2. Information Journee collects
Depending on how you use the Site, Journee may collect:
- account and authentication information, including email address, external identity-provider identifiers, sign-in records, sessions, and account status;
- profile and marketplace information you provide, including names, business details, service categories, qualifications, job requests, bids, messages, reviews, photos, and attachments;
- addresses, postal codes, approximate or precise location information, and address-sharing events;
- notification and account preferences; and
- technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, request logs, cookies, local-storage values, and security events.
Visitors may save parts of a job request or bid before creating an account. That temporary content can include text, location information, and private photos and is ordinarily staged for up to seven days unless it is claimed by an account, deleted sooner, or retained longer for security or legal reasons.
3. How Journee uses information
Journee uses information to operate and test the Site, authenticate accounts, display profiles and marketplace content, support job and bid workflows, deliver messages and notifications, provide location features, prevent abuse, investigate errors, maintain security, and improve the pre-production service.
When an eligible AI-assisted drafting feature is enabled, Journee may send job description text, category context, and a pseudonymous safety identifier to an AI provider to suggest structured draft content. Users should not place personal or confidential information in free text unless it is needed for the request.
4. Public content and disclosures
Public profiles, published job text, reviews, images, service information, and coarse location may be visible without signing in. Search engines and other crawlers may index, copy, or retain public content beyond Journee's control. Bids, private job photos, chat, account details, and precise addresses are not intended to be public. A precise service address is shared with another user only through an eligible, explicit address-sharing action.
Journee may disclose information:
- to Customers or independent Vendors when needed for a marketplace interaction or when you choose to publish or share it;
- to service providers that support hosting, authentication, email, maps and location services, security, storage, and optional AI features, including providers such as DigitalOcean, Google, Geocodio, Mailgun, and OpenAI when their relevant features are used;
- where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the Site, or the public; and
- as part of a proposed business transaction, subject to appropriate legal safeguards.
Service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries, where it may be subject to local law. Journee does not currently sell personal information or use a third-party advertising or behavioural-analytics SDK on the customer Site.
5. Retention, safeguards, and choices
Journee keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for pre-production testing, account and marketplace operation, security, dispute prevention, and legal obligations. Because this is a test environment, Journee does not promise that an account or content will remain available. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no test or online system can guarantee absolute security.
You may choose what optional profile information to provide and may control available notification settings. Do not publish information you do not want to be public. Requests to access or correct personal information, or questions about this Policy, may be made through any support channel Journee makes available on the Site. Journee may need to verify the requester before acting.
The Site is intended for adults. Do not create an account or submit marketplace content if you are under 18.
6. Changes
Journee may update this pre-production Policy as the Site changes. The version and effective date above identify the text currently presented during account onboarding. A materially different launch policy will use a new version and may require a new acknowledgement.
